A Comissão Organizadora do XI Colóquio Ibérico de Estudos Rurais convida à submissão de resumos para comunicação oral/paper ou apresentação de poster. A submissão encontra-se aberta na webpage do XICIER 2016, onde poderá consultar a lista de tópicos, bem como outra informação relevante sobre o evento. A data limite para submissão de resumos é 31 de março de 2016.
O XICIER 2016 decorrerá entre 13 e 15 de Outubro na Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), em Vila Real, Portugal. É organizado pelo Centro de Estudos Transdisciplinares para o Desenvolvimento (CETRAD), a Sociedade Portuguesa de Estudos Rurais (SPER) e a Asociación Española de Economía Agraria (AEEA). São parceiros da organização: a Asociación de Geográfos Españoles (AGE), os Grupos de Sociología Rural y de la Alimentación de la Federación Española de Sociología (FES), a Rede de Estudos Rurais (RER, Brasil), a Sociedad Española de Historia Agraria (SEHA) e a Sociedade Brasileira de Economia, Administração e Sociologia Rural (SOBER).
O tema geral do XICIER 2016 é o Desenvolvimento Inteligente e Inclusivo em Territórios Rurais, que proporciona a oportunidade de se discutirem e analisarem ideias, propostas e resultados de investigação e de experiência real já obtida sobre a aplicabilidade e aplicação da agenda do crescimento inteligente e do desenvolvimento sustentável e inclusivo nos territórios rurais em diversos contextos geográficos e socioculturais, com destaque da Europa e da América Latina.
Entre os oradores convidados incluem-se André Torre, Andrew Copus, Luis Miguel Albisu. Mais detalhes no website e página de facebook do congresso.
Os papers (comunicações escritas) serão publicadas no livro de atas do congresso; uma seleção dos melhores papers será efetuada com vista à sua publicação em livro ou recomendada para publicação em jornais científicos a divulgar brevemente.

The overall theme of the XICIER 2016 is the Smart and inclusive development in rural areas, providing the opportunity to discuss and to analyse ideas, proposals and results of research and actual experience already obtained on the applicability and implementation of smart growth agenda and sustainable and inclusive development in rural areas in different geographical and socio-cultural contexts, especially in Europe and Latin America.

Paper will be published in the proceedings book, best papers will selected for further book publication or for journals available to receive them (information will be released on the webpage)
